Pedodontics (Pediatric Dentistry)
For children and adolescents
The training and experience of pediatric dentists allow them to meet the special needs of children and adolescents.
The first visit can take place as early as the first baby tooth. It is preferable and recommended to see young children every six (6) months, as cavities can appear quickly. If the risk is considered low, visits can be spaced further apart.
It is during this first meeting that the pediatric dentist establishes a relationship of trust with the child and reassures him/her. It is by feeling safe and protected that the child will be cooperative and that the care will be easier. The first visit is very important to reassure the child and establish a climate of trust.
